<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">The name shown for the object is displayed in the text box.</help:help-text> If no name has been assigned, enter a new name here. With certain objects, you can also modify an existing name.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:key-word value="Database Name" tag="kw66202_1" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>When you create a database, enter the name by which the database will be registered in <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname>. You can enter any name, but certain characters are not allowed (e.g. /, \, ?, #) and will be ignored if you type them. Only operating-system specific limitations of the file systems apply.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">If you are working on a network, the designations of the local databases cannot be identical to those on a network drive. For example, to create a new form for a database on a network drive, <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> can set this up for the database only if there is no database with the same name on your local hard drive.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Mark this check box to protect the document from being edited.</help:help-text> Unmark it to overwrite or edit a read-only file. This check box is visible when you look at the properties of a file, e.g. in a folder. This box is not visible in the properties dialog of an opened document.</p>
